Music

The Liberal Catholic Church has a rich musical practice. All of the liturgy of the Church is ideally sung by congregation and clergy well-trained in liturgical singing.

What we are concerned with...is to get the people to express themselves joyously and whole-heartedly through sound. ... [T]he aim is rather the working upon and stimulation of human character, and the blending of the congregation into an organic unity.

... A congregation that can work rhythmically, no longer hampered by the forms and technique of its work, but using them as the means of its unity, and which has learned to be self-disinterested, can work not only as a unity in its own consciousness, but can blend their human consciousness with that of the Angels, and enter into the peace that passeth understanding.
